A goddess of Slavic legend who’s described as a frightening witch who lives in a “hut.” Also known as “The Forest Mother.” Tales of Baba Yaga involve musky smells, mysterious feathers, and birds acting strangely. Baba Yaga’s hut has similar characteristics to The Cabin. Her hut is very small and always located in a deeply wooded area, but the hut itself also moves through the woods, perched on two, giant chicken legs. Peter Chenoweth suggested adding Baba Yaga to the Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master Guide. Chenoweth also suggested that Baba Yaga’s hut was much larger on the inside than on the outside.
